As the web site comments in the About Us section and in various other aspects of text, arguably the key philosophy driving the success of the group is the quest to retain staff within the group. The company operates against a core set of values, placing people at the forefront of all business decisions. At the recent conference, all staff exceeding 10-years service were recognised with a presentation certificate and jeweller’s gift voucher, as well as an extra day’s holiday to relax and bask in 10-years or more of Shawston glory! The group also has two other members of the team both with more than 30-years service having been part of Shawston prior to the buy-in during 2001. The hall of fame below shows the recipients of the recent long service awards.
